Anthony Girifalco
Professional Bio:
Anthony Girifalco is Executive Vice President of the Delaware Valley Industrial Resource Center (DVIRC). Mr. Girifalco has been with the DVIRC since it opened in 1988. For over 20 years he has provided research and information services to companies, managed marketing and public relations activities, written state and federal funding proposals and reports, performed legislative communications, developed company networks, and managed a regional economic development partnership that leveraged over $20 million in state and federal funding into the region. He continues to be a recognized leader in workforce development and education.
Currently, Mr. Girifalco has multiple roles with the organization, including planning and executing corporate strategy, developing programs and services, conducting research, and coordinating and writing proposals for the Center and its partners. He has authored or co-authored winning proposals to the U.S. Department of Labor, Commerce and Energy and is currently serving as Principal Investigator for a National Science Foundation award.
Collaborating with area educational institutions, he helped to create and manage the Applied Engineering Technology education initiative to develop a career pathway for advanced manufacturing. Girifalco recently served on the Board of the Pennsylvania Economic Development Association and is currently Board Chair for the 21st Century Partnership for STEM Education. He holds degrees from the University of Pennsylvania and Georgetown University.
