Dr. Gonzales has a profound commitment to enhancing higher education's capacity by not only strategically investing in talent and recruiting diverse new faculty, but by mentoring them as well. Finally, as the son of poor immigrants and the first in his family to attend college, Dr. Gonzales always wants to give back and so has been active in philanthropic endeavors, including capital campaigns, as a Director on several Boards. For example, he was a member of the Rotary Club and was on the Board of Trustees for the Tampa Museum of Art. See full Bio.
