Professional Bio:
As the Assistant Dean of Academic Affairs in the College of Natural and Mathematical Sciences at UMBC, I direct the five-year, NSF-funded iCubed@UMBC project, which is using multi-treatment randomized controlled trial methodology to study academic support interventions involving students in their first year of college who are pursuing STEM majors. I also work on a variety of college initiatives focused on science education, transfer student support, curricular alignment, teacher professional development, faculty enrichment, learning spaces, and new program development.
