Lorrie Shepard

Professional Bio:

Lorrie Shepard is University Distinguished Professor and Dean of the School of Education. Her research focuses on psychometrics and the use and misuse of tests in educational settings. Dr. Shepard is a past president of the American Educational Research Association and past president of the National Council on Measurement in Education. She was elected to the National Academy of Education in 1992 and served as its President from 2005 - 2009. Currently, she is a member of Colorado's State Council for Educator Effectiveness, Colorado's Assessment Stakeholder Committee, and the National Council for Accreditation of Teacher Education's Blue Ribbon Panel for Clinical Preparation, Partnerships, and Improved Student Learning.
